Palm City Farms

Martin County is more than the "Sailfish Capital" of the World. It is home to a growing group of Equestrians who appreciate the low density and animal friendly atmosphere Martin County promotes.

The area west of the Fl Turnpike and East of I-95 is commonly known as Palm City Farms with Ranchettes ranging from 2 to 100 acres. It is in this part of Martin County that you will find a diverse group of Equestrian disciplines, including dressage, showjumping, Polo, driving, thoroughbred racing, western pleasure, team penning plus many more. This area boasts of having Olympic riders and trainers from the various disciplines living and working here, along with families who love the idea of just being able to share a horse with their children.

The Palm City Trail Association is making sure that there is a increased number of interconnecting trails throughout the "Farms" so that safe trail riding is available for all who live in this area.

The newly formed Martin County Horse Council was created to bring a unified voice for the Equestrian professions, enthusiasts, businesses and horse owners in Martin County, Florida. You can find the Martin County House Council on Facebook.

There are well run Boarding facilities which offer lessons and clinics with covered and open rings with the correct footing for each specific discipline, as well as privately owned farms which offer boarding.

This area is well suited for Equestrians as the land in this area has minimal wetlands with good soils, and beautiful native mature vegetation. Palm City Farms is less than one hour from most of the major competitions and provides a quieter lifestyle. Wellington with the showjumping and Dressage venues is only 50 minutes to the south and there are Polo fields to the south, west, and north all within an hour drive.
